SAKMA has developed a customized lighting solution with RGBW technology, to light up with changing color the facade of the new Hard Rock Hotel in Madrid.
Last July, the Hotel Hard Rock Madrid opened its doors. With this new opening, the North American chain Hard Rock Internacional adds its third resort in Spain, after the already inaugurated hotels in Ibiza and Tenerife. The new hotel caters to both business and leisure travellers, with 161 contemporary rooms and suites offering diverse views, so guests can take in the lights of Madrid, or retreat from the city with a room overlooking the lush garden.
The property’s premier location in the Triangulo de Oro del Arte is surrounded by the Reina Sofia National Museum, the Prado National Museum and the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum. Within walking distance guests can explore the historic art nouveau train station (Atocha), the Royal Botanical Garden, the charming Lavapies and Embajadores neighbourhoods.
To light up the facade, SAKMA, specialists in surprise, excite and inspire through unique lighting projects, has designed a totally customized system, just as the project required. The lighting solution that has been developed is completely integrated in the front profile of the facade and provides a great verticality effect of the building.
In addition, thanks to the independent lighting control of each RGBW strips, the customer has the absolute control to create different atmospheres and lighting effects at any time. RGBW luminaires are very suitable to create scenographic lighting and helps to enhance the facade.
